These eco-friendly Soap Saver Pads can be used alone or set in a soap dish you already have at home. Researchers found that by mixing bioplastic (made from sugarcane) materials with, of all things, oyster shell powder, it becomes a non toxic new composite material that looks and performs the same but after being discarded will disintegrate at a rate of 95% after 6 months in the ground, water or exposed to sunlight. (When you're done, just put it in your compost or even bury it in your garden or planter!)
Indoors it should last 2 years before it starts to decompose.
